He was born September 17, 1953, in Norwood, MA to Herbert Karle and Oline (Tveekrem) Karle. Rick grew up on the family farm in Milford, NH and graduated from Milford High in 1972. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Franklin Pierce College in 1978 and moved to Colorado the same year. The following year he met Debbie Uhrich in Boulder, CO, and they married on June 23, 1984, spending 43 years together.
Rick loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed camping, boating, skiing and old western movies. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and a past member of the Phantom Canyon Antique Motorcycle Club. Rick was a finish carpenter, specializing in custom design woodwork. He retired in 2020 and became a full-time caregiver for his brother, Herb. All around, he was a great guy who was always there to lend a hand.
Rick is survived by his wife Debbie Karle, daughter Elyssa Karle (Jamie Pile) and grandson Kaeden; siblings Herbert Karle, Paul Karle (Doris), Janet Lindgren (Paul), and Norma Karle (Rod Folia). He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law; Gene Sibley, Linda Uhrich, Mike Uhrich (Mary), David Uhrich (Cathy) and Toni Uhrich; step-father-in-law, Joel Grossman; step mother-in-law, Phyllis Uhrich as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Oline Karle, brother Fred Karle, sister Anita Sibley, mother-in-law Carol Grossman and father-in-law Robert Uhrich.
