Robert D. O'dell

O?DELL, Robert D., 62, Longmont, CO, died at Life Care Center of Longmont on Wednesday, December 6, 2006.Robert was born on February 4, 1944 in Laramie, Wyoming to Herb and Mary (Sherbondy) O?Dell. He grew up and attended schools in Laramie, lived for a while in Arizona before moving to Longmont in 1975.Robert was a custodian for the St. Vrain Valley School District for 17 years and served at Columbine and Longs Peak schools. He enjoyed hunting and visiting Wyoming and collected calendars showing Wyoming scenes. His father worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years and Robert collected models and calendars related to the railroad.His parents and two brothers, Jim and Frank O?Dell, preceded Robert in death. He is survived by two brothers: Donald O?Dell of Longmont, CO and Allen O?Dell and his wife Ada of Lamoni, Iowa; by four sisters: Betty Jones of Ft. Collins, CO, Eilene Speer and her husband Leonard of Glendale, AZ, Leona Prota and her husband Joseph of Kingman, AZ, and Julia Lewis and her husband Russell of Seibert, CO and by numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special family friends, Don and Judy Riemann of Longmont.Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Monday, December 11 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Community of Christ Church, 641 Martin, Street with Elder Patricia Duensing officiating. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Foothills Gardens of Memory.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Robert?s name to the March of Dimes, 1325 South Colorado Blvd., Building B, Suite 508, Denver, Co. 80222.
