Robert is survived by his Son Mark and daughter-in-law Lori Stevens, Granddaughter Tyra Louise Stevens, and Grandson Trevin Robert Stevens, step-children John Stevens, (deceased) Steve Griffin, and Gwen Frilot, step-grandchildren Brandon Godfrey, Brittni Harcourt, Kaydee Harcourt, their 7 great grand-children, and many other loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Robert was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.
Robert was a Vietnam-era Veteran, who served his country proudly, in the Army of the 101st Airborne Division. Robert enjoyed old Western movies, good soul music and Dunkin Donuts. He appreciated a good cooked meal, basking in the sun on his front porch and spending relaxing time with his family. Robert will be remembered for many things, those that had the pleasure of knowing him will remember him for his most infamous saying….”Lord Have Mercy”.
A special thank you to the folks at Davita Dialysis Center in Longmont and Boulder, for their loving care and support during his treatments for the last 12 years. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Rod at Howe Mortuary & Crematory in Longmont, for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Howe Mortuary & Crematory on Tuesday, December 10. Funeral services for Robert will follow visitation at 11:30 AM. Robert will be laid to rest in Denver at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 2:30 PM (directions will be provided at the service). Following the burial, there will be a small informal gathering, with food, for Robert’s family and friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in Longmont at 2014 Glenarbor Court.
