Sara "Susie" Hajek

Sara Sue (Susie) Hajek, 76, of Longmont, CO, died March 29, 2022, at Longmont United Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1945, to Charles and Marye Lou Goldner in Salem, OH. Susie attended University of Texas where she received her bachelor's degree in 1967 and then Oklahoma State where she received her master's degree in 1969.

She married Robert (Bob) Hajek on October 9, 1972 and they had 3 children, Brooke, Brett and Bobby. She worked as a CPA until she met and married Bob. She became very active in the community, donating and volunteering with many local charities and organizations. A couple of her favorites were HOPE and A Women's Work. She also loved being with her family attending all her children's and grandchildren's school and sporting activities. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards with her lady friends as well.

Susie is survived by her children Brooke Hajek of Westminster, Brett and Emily Hajek of Firestone, Bobby and Colleen Hajek of Longmont. Grandchildren Alyssa, Carter and Cayden. Siblings Bill and Linda Goldner of Disney, OK, Chuck and Susan Goldner of Little Rock, AR, and Matt Goldner of Clearwater, FL. As well as her 6 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, parents Charles and Marye Lou, and sister Lou.

Visitation will be April 7 from 4-7 at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St, Longmont. Funeral services will be at New Creation Church, 737 Bross St, Longmont on Friday April 8th at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be Brett Hajek, Bobby Hajek, Carter Hajek, Cayden Hajek, Chuck Goldner and Matt Goldner. Memorials or donations may be made to HOPE (Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement) or A Woman's Work.

Reception to follow services at Fox Hill Club in Longmont.
