A most difficult lesson to learn as we travel this fine Earth, is to know that every star - even the Sun - must set. Sherri’s star set on this September 15th after a five-year toe-to-toe courageous fight with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. In her words, “The only way “The Cancer” won is that it cheated.” She would also say, “We are not going to be ‘Cry-Babies’, but we will fight “The Cancer”. At the end of the day, we will say to “The Cancer” –
“DON’T START NONE, WON’T BE NONE”
As Sherri continues the next part of her never-ending journey with optimism and joy, she would tell you to be on the lookout for her.
I am thankful that her children and grandchildren got her kindness and humor. Sherri was known to many as a Confidant and Friend, to a few as Mother and Grandmother, and to one as Wife. We were blessed to get to know her many secret passions (writer, reader, museum lover, secret comedian, and soul soother). She loved music, art, antiques, but most of all her family and friends and those she picked up along the way. Sherri was quick-witted, well-spoken. Saying that she will be missed is a colossal understatement.
Sherri was preceded in death by her loving mother, Linda Mae Christopher Spargo.
Sherri is survived by her husband, Keith Schriver: sons, Jacob Schriver and wife Victoriya of Firestone, CO; Kyle Schriver and wife Allison of Thornton, CO; daughter Sarah Schriver of Longmont, CO. Grandchildren Juliette and Noah Komloski-Schriver, Camden Kuhnle-Schriver, Lucas and Charlotte Schriver. Sherri is also survived by her brother Glendon Spargo Jr of Mountain Home, AR; sisters Christi Owen and husband Steve of Walnut Ridge, AR; Carol Stith and Husband Tim of West Fork, AR. As well as many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 12:00PM at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Memories and condolences may be shared at ahlbergfuneralchapel.com.
