Todd is survived by his wife Lainey Lawall, son Aidan Lawall, daughter Kaelyn Lawall, father Jack Lawall, mother Shirley Lawall, brothers Ted Lawall (Donna) and Travis Lawall (Blake), nephews Josh Lawall and Jake Lawall, niece Katie Lawall, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was born October 14th 1975 in Denver, CO to Jack Eugene Lawall and Shirley Jean Overdier. He had two older brothers, Ted Lawall and Travis Lawall.
For a short time he lived with his family in Idaho before returning to Longmont, CO. He went to Longmont Junior High and graduated from Niwot High School in 1994. During his time in high school he and his brother, Travis, were active members of Civil Air Patrol with Todd rising to the rank of 1st Lieutenant and Squadron Commander. After high school he attended Metro College where he was interested in aviation and computers. This led to a job programming F16 simulators.
On August 10, 2001 Todd married Elaine (Lainey) Susan Dudek. He was blessed with a son in 2005, Aidan, and a daughter in 2007, Kaelyn. His family meant so much to him. He loved them all very much and made sure they knew it every day. He was a very present father and spent as much time as he could with his kids and his wife.
Todd eventually became a software engineer with a specialty in QA and Automation. He worked for many companies over the years, the most recent being Oracle. He was an excellent co-worker and manager who always believed in the potential of the people he worked with. He loved helping people achieve that potential and even used his free time to share his knowledge and mentor people.
Todd was involved for many years with Solid State Depot where he made friends and “found his tribe”. He loved working on tech projects there or talking with people that understood his passions. Some of those passions were coding, LED lighting, photography, gardening, painting, and woodwork. He had many other wonderful friends that shared his passions and he loved the time he spent being creative with them.
His biggest passion was his faith. He was a strong believer in Christ and found his church home at The Journey in Longmont. He served as a Lead Team member from fall 2018 to winter 2021, volunteered running the live stream of the services, and helped out where ever else he could.
Todd had a huge heart and made friends wherever he went. So many people's lives were touched by him and he will be forever missed.
A funeral service for Todd will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 2:00pm with a reception to follow at The Journey Church in Longmont, CO.
