1952 – 2019
Tron “Bill” Horn passed away on November 10, 2019 in Longmont, Colorado. He was born March 19, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Tron and Becky (Thompson) Horn. As a youngster, he learned how to ski and drive a toboggan from his paternal grandfather and mentored his younger siblings. Every summer growing up he travelled to Colorado with his parents and siblings to spend time with his maternal grandparents on their farm – where he learned how to drive a tractor among other things. He also spent time on both the eastern and western slope with his maternal aunt and her family – cherished moments. He eventually moved to Colorado in 1999 but remained a lifelong die-hard fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Wisconsin Badgers. An avid sport participant in baseball and basketball in his youth, injuries precluded those activities later in life. He loved to fish, golf, read and worked crossword puzzles every day. But most of all Bill loved his family. Bill is survived by his daughter Jessica (Matthew Walter) and their son Landon of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; his son Erik of West Allis, Wisconsin (and his 2 daughters); his second wife Danute “Donna” of Longmont; siblings in Colorado, Nancy of Lafayette, Laureen (John) of Dacono, and Joseph of Boulder; 3 nieces, 1 grandniece, 1 nephew and 2 grandnephews; and his Aunt Rigmor “Rikki” of Venice, Florida. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Tron Matthew Horn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or your favorite charity.
