

Walter was born to Howard Ezra Logsdon and Drucilla Ruth Derikson, on March 27, 1934 at home in Pevely, Missouri. He attended Pevely public school and graduated from Herculaneum High School in Herculaneum, Missouri in 1952.
He joined the Air Force in January 1954, took basic training in Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, and was assigned to Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado; a training command where he met and married Barbara Fiechtner in June of 1955.
Walter was assigned to a Mobile Training Detachment in June of 1956. Extensive moves from border to border and coast to coast followed. He was discharged from service in 1958, as a Staff Sergeant. He was a fulltime employee with the Wyoming Air National Guard in Cheyenne for three years. Employment with American Telephone and Telegraph-Long lines followed until retirement in 1988.
Walter was a member of Calvary church in Longmont, Colorado since 1983, and served on the Historic Highland Lake Church Board. He passed away March 27, 2023 on his 89th birthday at his home in Weld County, Colorado.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and two children, Brenda and Boyce all of Weld County Colorado. Both parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
There was a Funeral Service at Longmont Calvary Church in Longmont on April 10, 2023, followed by Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
