William "Bill" Boone

Bill was born on February 7th, 1932 in Woodbine, Iowa. He moved to Colorado in 1941 and graduated from Lyons High School in 1950. He was married to Lola Vantine on June 2, 1956. His favorite hobbies were spending time with his family, listening to country music, playing the steel guitar, telling stories or jokes and watching all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, boating and anything outdoors with his friends and family. He was very close to his large family and had a special bond with each of them. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Joy Umphabaugh, father Dennis Boone, wife Lola Boone, Brother Robert (Al) Boone and Kellie Bennett. Survivors include his partner, Judy Wilkenson of 24 years and her daughter Jenny (John) Mannle of Quincy, CA; Four children, Becky DeVeny of Lyons, CO, Robert Boone (Kathy) of Cheyenne WY, Beth Boone (Tony Cordova) of Longmont CO, and Amy Boone of Longmont, CO; His sister, Janice Roundy (Duane) of Thornton CO; Bill had 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren who adored him.
