

William ?Bill? Ira Houck of Dacono, Colorado, died at his home on February 13, 2007 after a short struggle with cancer. He was 52.Bill was born on March 28, 1954 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Ace William Houck and Eleanor K. (King) Barnes. He grew up and attended grade school in Sheridan and attended Lyons High School in Lyons, Colorado. Bill entered the United States Army and served from 1973 to 1975, at which time he was honorably discharged.Bill was married to his wife Susanne on April 1, 1995 in Casper, Wyoming. He was a truck driver for 32 years and worked for various local truss companies. He enjoyed target shooting, restoring a 1973 Duster, collecting die cast trucks, four-wheeling, and spending time in the mountains. Very important to Bill was the care and well being of his dogs.Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Harold O. King, who resided with him for many years.He is survived by his wife, Susanne; a sister, Rosalie Luedtke and her husband Keith of Clarkridge, Arkansas; a step-son, Rob Jongsma of Casper, Wyoming; a step-daughter, Anna Brus, her husband Pat and four grandchildren, Daniel, Tyler, Devon, and Riley of Centennial, Colorado.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Howe Mortuary with David Bradshaw officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary of Longmont, Colorado.Flowers may be sent to Howe Mortuary or memorial contributions may be sent to the Longmont Humane Society, 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont, CO 80501.
