

He was met at the gates of heaven by his parents, John Hughes Cave and Edith Cave; sister, Doris LeCates; brother Jack Cave.
David is survived by his wife of 58 years Margie Kessinger Cave, who he met when he was only 3 years and Margie was 18 Months old.
He is also Survived by his sister, Nancy Waddell; nieces Sue Bradford, Ann Cawthorne, Donna Early (Clay), Kim Meyer (Billy), Cindy Wheat (Robert), Nephews, Don LeCates (Sheryl), David Todd Borgelt (Brooke), Sean David Sebastian (Amelia), Alex Early (Brittany), Chris Early (Tee), Alex Poll; great-nieces, Sadie, Daisy, Adeline Early and Wendy Sherden; great-Nephew, Sawyer David Sebastian, Andrew Sebastian, and Ben Early.
David Served in the Navy aboard the USS ANTIETAM and retired from Chevron after 35 years of service.
He was also a former member of the Valley Station Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School for 50 years with Margie. David was presently a member and a Deacon of the New Salem Baptist Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 12:00pm with visitation staring at 10:00am at Advantage Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00PM to 8:00pm at the funeral home. The family ask for those who are attending the visitation and service please wear a masks.
