Douglas Kelley

Douglas Kelley, age 63, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Douglas was born November 19, 1958. Doug passed away at St’s Mary and Elizabeth Hospital with his Loving family by his side.

Doug was a dedicated family man, a fierce and loyal friend, and avid U of L fan and food connoisseur. He enjoyed searching for antique treasures (Popeye) at estate sales, yard sales and eBay. He was a fantastic chef loved to cook and grill out for his family. In recent years he loved spending time at home with family and our five beloved pets and enjoyed tending to his plants and flowers in the backyard with and occasional fire and brewski.

He will be severely missed but most fondly remembered for his ability to light up a room with his smile and unlimited story telling.

WE LOVE YOU DOUG! Doug worked for the Raymond Johns Co. as a salesman. Doug was preceded in death by his mother Betty VanWinkle Kelley. He is survived by his wife Carla, three children; Olivia Kelley, Samantha Kelley and Marcus Kelley, father, James “Bud” Kelley, three siblings, Tabitha Kelley, Matthew Kelley and Janet Kelley-Jackson also several loving sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews and other extended family. We cannot forget his babies, Doug was a daddy to Chessie and Stevie and a pepaw to Leo, Ares, and Moxie.

Doug’s celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 12 noon at Advantage funeral home Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy.,cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday July 22, 2022 from 3 PM to 8 PM and from 9 AM until his service time Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kentucky Humane Society
