Barry was a member of Rock Haven Baptist Church in Brandenburg, KY and was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and watching sports. He retired from Louisville Gas & Electric, Mill Creek Station, and was better known to all by the name of “Tex”.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie D. Miller; mother, Betty Klesel; step-father, Alvin Klesel; sister, Rita Jo Miller; and nephew, Richard Garner.
Left to cherish his memory is his step-mother, Vivian Miller; children, Brandon Miller, Sherry Bates (Eric), Dana Lee (Kevin); grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Erica, Alandria, Hayes; siblings, Linda Smith (Steve), Michael Garner (Merle); nieces, Candice Roy (Andrew), Skylar Schwertner (Brandon), and nephew, Jason Garner (Crystal).
'There will be a Memorial Gathering celebrating Barry’s life on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 12pm – 4pm at Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY.
