He retired from civil service at Fort Knox. He was a fifty year member of Barker Lodge 129 F&AM and OES Southern Star 154 and he was a Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi; son, John E. Jolley Jr.; stepdaughter, Catherine Brown; brother, George E. Jolley; and two sisters, Angela Teresa Smith and Lucille Howlette.
He is survived by two sons, Patrick Jolley, John E. Jolley (Sandy); daughter, Sharon Talbert; four stepsons, Richard Oglesby, Michael Oglesby (Marion), Gerald Oglesby (Gwen) and Tommy Oglesby (Ginger); 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, William Jolley (Nancy); and two sisters, Catherine Busey and Sally Knight..
Service will be noon Thursday at W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Service with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
