Joyce Allen, age 76, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Joyce was retired from Mother's Cookies after 52 years of service, where she worked as a packer of Girl Scout Cookies, retiring in 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Alta Allen, and her brother, James C. Allen, and her sister, Janice A Bagshaw. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Stacey Ray (Todd); her brother, Gary Allen (Stacy); her two grandchildren, Lauren Schraut and Ryne Ray; and three nieces, Donda Flores, Mandi Bagshaw, and Cheri Bagshaw.
Joyce's visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Advantage Funeral Home Hardy Chapel, located at 10907 Dixie Hwy, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, with cremation to take place afterward.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Inspirations of Mount Washington and Shelbyville Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Joyce's final days.
