Wendell T. Hawkins, 61, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was retired from Naval Ordnance, a veteran of the Marines and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Hawkins. Survivors include his wife, Sherry; daughter, Krista Mayfield; sons, Adam(Cheryl) and Jason(Angie); mother, Delores; sisters, Wanda Hunt, Barbara Prather and Carolyn Roberts; brothers, William and Clarence; grandchildren, Kirsten, Jacquelyn, Elizabeth, Amelia, Julian and Cecilia. His service will be on Monday 12 noon at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Services with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. His visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8pm and after 10am on Monday at the funeral home.
