Yhantzee was a man whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and strength to everyone around him. He shared a beautiful life with his wife of 24 years, whom he loved deeply, and together they raised a family rooted in love, loyalty, and tradition. Yhantzee took great pride in being a father and was a guiding light not only to his own children but also to many others who looked up to him as a second father.
Yhantzee had a gift for storytelling—he loved to listen just as much as he loved to share a good story. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: spending time with family, taking annual vacations, and creating memories that will live on through those he loved. Though his family will miss those summer trips dearly, they are committed to continuing the tradition in his honor.
He loved to stay active and enjoyed playing sports and spending time in the gym with his buddies, where he shared more laughs and conversations than workouts. At home, he found peace in his backyard—laying in the sun, caring for his yard, and taking pride in his lush green grass and pool. He especially cherished teaching his grandchildren how to swim, creating moments that will never be forgotten.
Yhantzee also had a love for old-school cars and could often be found cruising through the city, enjoying the ride, and the memories attached to every street. Having attended PRP High School, he remained rooted in the South End his entire life, knowing every turn, every shortcut, and even every pothole along the way.
He was a man of deep character—loving, loyal, and genuine. He believed in treating everyone with respect and kindness. Yhantzee had a heart for helping others, especially the youth in need of guidance. Whether offering advice, mentorship, or simply showing up, he made a lasting impact. He was known to lend a hand in any way he could—even cutting neighbors’ grass just because he enjoyed it and enjoyed helping others.
Yhantzee had a special love for his dogs, especially his beloved Chance, whom shared a ride with him everyday and held a very close place in his heart.
Yhantzee’s legacy of love, generosity, and strength will continue to live on through his family, his community, and the many lives he touched. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will never be forgotten. His family will continue to honor him, and his memory will ride on—just like the car he loved so much, a symbol of the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Taylor; his father, Bobby Taylor; his mother, Connie Bickert and his Mama, Pam Taylor; his daughters, Jordan, Samantha, Kayla; and his son, Dylan; his grandchildren, Jrue, Ayden, Jria, Jream, Xander, and Avery; his sister, Crystal (Phil); his aunts Tammy (Wayne) and Deb; his uncle Dave; his nieces, Summer and Prezlee; his nephew, Chase and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind his childhood friends, Jason Norton, Jeremy McDonald, Michael Puckett, Colt Hickerson and many others too numerous to mention.
