Mrs. Reynolds was born April 22, 1948 in Jasper, Texas, the daughter of the late Evie Irene (Couey) and James Buford Matthews, Sr. She passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Reynolds was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, James Leonis Reynolds, Anthony Reynolds and Jay Lynn “Bubba” Reynolds; daughter, Theresa Reynolds; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Hanes and Bessie Cheek; and brothers, James Matthews and Walter Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Lynn Reynolds; and her parents.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
