Billy Jack Cook Sr, fondly remembered as Pops of Pollok TX, passed into eternal rest on Saturday September 27th 2025 at Lufkin's CHI hospital. Born on December 30th 1963 in Harrison to the late Darlene Freeman, Pops was a shining example of living life with purpose and passion. He delighted in the freedom of riding his Harley and the tranquility of fishing, inspiring others with his zest for life and humor. A born entertainer, Pops had a talent for bringing people together and creating unforgettable moments. Pops is survived by his loving partner Christine Laseter of Pollok and his children: Billy Cook Jr and Alesha Hernandez of Pollok, Amanda Mallery Burnett of Diboll, Latasha cook of DeRidder LA, Danny Cook of Pollok, Corrisma Cook, Breanna Cook and Blaze cook all of Missouri, Devon Hooper and Brayden McFarland both of Pollok and Emma Cook of Pollok and of course his loving dog Outlaw. His memory will be treasured by his brothers Bobby May and James May, Freddie Ruth an numerous grandchildren, relatives, and his close family and friends Haley Anderson, Erin Collins and many others who will deeply miss Pops. Pops was preceded in death by his parents, but his legacy will continue to inspire hope and joy in those who knew him.
