Carolyn Nallie

Mrs. Nallie was born July 6, 1939 in Pollok, the daughter of the late Virginia (Pearson) and Wallace Thigpen, and died May 29, 2014 at her residence.

Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother. She graduated from Central High School. She worked in the medical field as an office manager and as a cardiology nurse.

She is survived by husband, Luther Nallie; son, John Nallie and wife, Daphne, of New Castle, DE; daughter, Mary Caperton and husband, Bryan, of Forsyth, MO; sisters, Judy Nallie, of Pollok, Bennie Fowler and husband, Kent Fowler of Pollok; brothers, Jerry W. Thigpen and wife, Kathy of Woodville and Larry Thigpen and wife, Nita of Pollok; sister-in-law, Linda Thigpen of Pollok; grandchildren, John and Jeremy Nallie of Deleware; Karen Nallie of Austin, TX; Sgt. David Ogden and wife, Kahla of California City, CA; and Ryan and Beth Ogden of Rockaway Beach, MO.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Robert Thigpen.

Pallbearers will be Cody Fowler, Kevin Thigpen, Bryan Caperton, Jacob Hopper, Mike Thigpen and Brian Thigpen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
