Charles was born September 20, 1949 in Groveton, Texas, the son of the late Vada Mae (Trawick) and Cecil Foster. He passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in a Houston hospital.
Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a big family man. Charles retired from Vertis following 30 years of employment. He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, hunting, and reading books. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Harborlight Church.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Diane Renfro of Cushing; daughter, Belinda Sparkman of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Malcolm and Darla Guerra of Hockley and Sam and Lisa Foster of Splendora; daughter and son-in-law, Kacie and Russell Arbuckle of Lufkin; grandson, Christopher Renfro of Lufkin; 11 other grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Milton Foster; sisters, Betty Wells, Elaine Stevens, and Kathy Foster; and a number of other family members.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Joyce Foster; and brother, Jay Hake.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
