David M Tamez Sr.

Mr. Tamez was a machinist for Temple Inland. He enjoyed cooking outdoors, swimming and spending time with his family. He attended the First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David, Jr. and Shannon Tamez; daughter and son-in-law, Dora and Jose D. Acevedo; daughter and son-in-law, Adelaide and Jose Antonio Luna; son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Wendy Tamez; son, Robert Tamez; son and daughter-in-law, Rene and Ana Tamez; grandchildren, Christopher David Tamez, Marcus Anthony Tamez, Kelly Tamez, Caleb Tamez, Kimberlie Tamez, Amelia Tamez; Maritza and Noel Estrada, Alejandro and Sonia Acevedo; Jeremiah Acevedo, Jordan J. Acevedo; Angelica Acevedo, Marco Luna, Abel Luna, David Luna, Ibon Luna, Victoria Luna; Joey and wife, Aubrey Tamez, Jeremy and wife, April Tamez; Joey Sosa Tamez, Alisa S. Tamez, Valerie Fisher, Crystal Tamez, Alisa Tamez, Reanna Tamez, Renee Tamez and Emma Tamez; great-grandchildren, Teresa A. Estrada,Noel Estrada, Jr., Angie Renee Estrada, Issac R. Acevedo, Cameron Luna, Rylan Luna, Kia Tamez, Paisley Tamez, Addison Tamez, Stephen Tamez, McKinsly Tamez, Brody Tamez, and Ryan Tamez.

Mr. Tamez was preceded in death by grandchildren, David Tamez, III and Brenda Tamez.

Graveside services for Mr. Tamez will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 in Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Joel Rodriguez officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon prior to the service at Gipson Funeral Home.
