Denny Regaland Modisette

A Celebration of Life and visitation for Denny Regaland Modisette will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at Word of Life Church, 1407 Ellis Avenue, Lufkin, Texas. Reverend Simon Purvis will officiate.

Denny was born March 26, 1947 in Angelina County, Texas, the son of Dolly (Phillips) and the late Rhodoth (Dock) Modisette. He passed away July 11, 2013 in a local hospital.

Denny attended school in Huntington. He became a logging contractor and married Rena Woodrom in May, 1969. He worked in construction with Southern Environmental, Inc. out of Pensacola. He loved to mechanic and was known as “Paw Paw fixit”. He enjoyed his sawmill, cows, horses and animals. He loved his family. Denny was a member of Word of Life Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rena (Woodrom) Modisette; daughter, Kelley Renee Modisette; son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Kristen (Kris) Modisette, all of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Kathlene (Katy) and Joey Fenley of Hurst, TX; grandchildren, Dean Modisette, Drew Modisette, Deni Grace Modisette, Devyn Phillips, Zack Fenley and Jacob Fenley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, Dock Modisette, Denny was preceded in death by his brothers, Buck Modisette, Garvis Modisette and Junior Modisette.
