Donald Kirk

Mr. Kirk was born in Orth, TX on April 13, 1941 and left this earth on January 10, 2015 at the age of 73. He was the son of the late Bessie (Kinser) and T. G. Kirk.

After serving 20 years and two months in the Air Force, he retired on March 31, 1981. During this time, he raised three daughters with the love of his life. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Richey Grimes of Huntington and Dawn and Jason Stowe of Lufkin; grandchildren, Amber Grimes, Kyle Bratcher, Haley Stowe, Jason Stowe, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Chloe Grimes; and brother, Melvin Kirk of the Dallas area; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Kirk; daughter, Pamela Kirk; father, T. G. Kirk; mother and step-father, Bessie and Cecil Inmon; two sisters and one brother.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Gipson Funeral Home.
