Emil Sidle Jones Jr

Mr. Jones was born March 16, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Bonnie N. (Baker) and Emil S. Jones, Sr. He passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 in a local hospital.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the owner and founder of City Motor Company for 40 years. Emil grew up a hunter and outdoorsman and was an avid Longhorns fan. He was fun-loving, enjoyed food and loved cooking and serving friends and family. His specialty was ribeye steaks. He loved and adored his grandchildren and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Peggy Jones of Lufkin; son, John Jones and wife Pam of Lufkin; daughter, Lesli Wright and husband Greg of Prosper, Texas; son, Richard Jones of Teague, Texas; nine grandchildren, Jacqueline, Kelsey, Jennifer, Kody, Brooke, Brittany, Taylor, Tyler and Shayla; one great-grandchild, Ayden; two sisters, Martha Mayes and Wilma Jordan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
