Fannie Cox

Mrs. Cox was born April 9, 1933 in Apple Springs, Texas, the daughter of the late Garvis (Burnette) and Fred Ladd. She passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Cox was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was very active in her church, especially in mission work and WMU at Calvary Baptist Church. She was retired from the Fair Department Store.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Cox of Lufkin; son, Dan Cox of Lufkin; granddaughter, Mary Ann Cox; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Helen Ladd of Pollok; and sisters, Daisy Anthony and Ollie Bundrick, both of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Nita and Elvin Lewis of Richmond; and sister-in-law, Joy Ladd of Lufkin.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Cox Hatcher; and brothers, B. C. Ladd and Bobby Ladd.

Pallbearers will be Tommie Donald Miller, Clarence Miller, Greg Cox, Eddie Lewis, Billy Stovall and Bill Anthony.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the WMU of Calvary Baptist Church.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
