

Mr. Miller was the organist for 13 years at First Presbyterian Church. He was involved in professional church music from the age of 13. He was also a writer of short stories for The Lufkin Daily News. He was generous with his time and talent. Carroll served with the United States Army in Germany and in Vietnam, where he once was an accompanist for a Rev. Billy Graham service.
Survivors are sister, Dorothy Elaine Wright and husband, Jim of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; sister, Nina Jo Stambaugh and husband, Will of Lufkin; nephews, Brad McClain, David McClain and wife, Donna, Scott Wright and wife, Becky, Barry Stambaugh and wife, Vicki Crnich; many cousins and other relatives and friends.
Carroll is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathleen Miller McClain nephew, John Michael Stambaugh and Carroll's constant companions, his dogs, Sandy and Rusty.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Brad McClain, David McClain, Scott Wright and Barry Stambaugh.

A Memorial Service celebrating his life and music will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Lufkin, TX.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
