Mr. Moore was born February 1, 1945, in Lufkin, Texas, son of the late Rubye Ann Moore (Arrant) and L.C. Moore. He passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 in his residence.
Wayne was a proud graduate of Lufkin High School, where he played football and earned his nickname as “Ox”. After school, he pursued a career as an instrument specialist, bringing skill and dedication to every task. Outside of work, he found peace and joy in the outdoors. Whether he was casting a line or tracking game, hunting and fishing were more than hobbies.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his sister, Juanita Lane; brother-in-law, Wilbert Lane; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 1641 FM 325, Lufkin, TX, United States, Texas.
