Janice LaNell Wright

Mrs. Wright was born December 6, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas, daughter of the late Ida Johnson and Leslie Steve Neyland. She passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in a local hospital.

Janice was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and bears. She loved traveling and cooking. In her younger days, she loved to run. She graduated from Lufkin High School and then worked at J.C. Penny and Randall’s for a while.

Survivors include husband, Wesley D. Wright Sr. of Pollok; son, David Wright (Yolanda) of Ennis, Texas; daughter, Melissa Dickson (Scott) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Brian, Ashley, Alex, Alli; great-grandchildren, Keely-lin, Copeland, Jonah, Nina; sisters, Dorothy Lankford of Lufkin, and Lynda Williamson of Lufkin.

She was preceded in death by parents; and son, Scott Wright.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
