John Wayne Johnson

Graveside services for John Wayne Johnson, 76, of Crockett, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the Pollok Cemetery.

John was born May 23, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Violet (Broomfield) and Henry L. Johnson. He passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at his residence.

John had worked in the residential construction business as a carpenter. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines, and was the recipient of a Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Expert Badge and Pistol Sharpshooter Badge. He was also a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. John was a member of Grace Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his grandson, James Cameron; friends, Ernestine Norton, Sandra Cook and many others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Daniel Johnson.
