

Services for Josie Mary Reina Duhon, 82, of Irving, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, with Pastor Allen Shook officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Duhon was born January 3, 1931 in Bryan, Texas, the daughter of the late Annie L. (Shustala) and Joe Reina. She passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Irving.
Mrs. Duhon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was Miss Texas City in 1949. She married Clifford R. Duhon on October 25, 1952. Mrs. Duhon was of the Methodist Faith and loved her Lord.
Survivors include her son, Clifford Ray Duhon, Jr., of Dayton; daughter, Cheryl Duhon of Irving; brother, Bennie Joe Reina of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Sgt. Adam Berry, Jennifer Duhon Rutkas and husband Michael, Melanie Martin and husband Jason, Shona Saunders and husband Rodney, and Shane Duhon; 6 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Duhon was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford R. Duhon, Sr.; and siblings, Dorothy Wallin Buskirk, Roy “Sonny” Wallin, Jack “J T” Wallin, Fannie “Sis” Wallin Ransom, and Tony Reina.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
