

Juan Manuel Zamora, 52, of Lufkin, was born November 26, 1959 in Sandoval, Tamps, Mexico, the son of the late Hilaria M. Zamora and Alfredo Zamora. He passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in a local hospital.
Juan was born in Mexico, attended school in Raymondville, and moved to Lufkin in 1986. He began working for Lufkin Industries in 1987 and was employed there until his health made it impossible to work. He was a devoted husband and father and loved his family, especially watching them play ball. He enjoyed motorcycles and playing baseball. He was a big Dallas Cowboy fan. Juan was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Zamora of Hudson; daughters and sons-in-law, Rosalie Zamora and Joshua Jamison and Patricia and Juan Palacios, all of Hudson; son, Juan Eduardo Zamora of Hudson; grandchildren, Jazmine Jamison, Andrew Jamison, Rubi Palacios and Daniel Palacios; brother, Miguel Angel Zamora; sisters, Elida Zamora de Salazar, Rosalinda Zamora de Yanes, Maria Del Socorro Lopez, Guillermina Borjas, Celia Zamora Herrera, and Maria Isabel Hernandez; and a number of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Miguel Angel Zamora, Heron Lopez, Camerino Hernandez, Jorge Borjas, Alfredo Hernandez, Miguel Angel Zamora, Jr., Heron Lopez, Jr., and Michael Anthony Lopez.
Services for Juan will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel.
Juan's family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, with Rosary following at 7:00 p.m. in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Good Shephard Funeral Home, 1157 West Hildago, Raymondville, Texas; 956/689-0600.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery in Raymondville.
