Louise Billingsley Anderson

Funeral service for Louise Billingsley Anderson, 92, of Huntington, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Gipson Funeral Home, with Bro. Keith Woolf and Bro. Bobby Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Hill / Sims Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was born July 26, 1933, in Angelina County, daughter of the late Selma (Bond) and Jeff Billingsley. She passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in her home.

Louise loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She enjoyed playing “42” with her husband and friends, sharing laughter and friendly competition around the table. In her younger days, she loved playing volleyball and carried that same energetic spirit throughout her life. Louise also enjoyed watching westerns and spending quiet time working on word search puzzles.

Survivors include children, Roy Anderson and Joyce of Huntington, Jo Ann Hadley and Raymond of Huntington, and Judy Batson and Melvin of Huntington; grandchildren, Chris Anderson, Taffi Abens and Uriah, Jason Hadley, Cassie Booth and Anthony, Raylan Long, and Austin Long and Faith; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers, Mary Dell Stanley and Lynette Herndon who provided compassionate care and support as well as to Affinity Hospice.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband of 66 years, I.D. Anderson (2016); and her siblings.

Pallbearers will be Chris Anderson, Jason Hadley, Austin Long, Uriah Abens, James Thomas, and Samuel Abens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua, Benjamin, Abby, Blake, Lexi, Cooper, Max, Henry, and Teddy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
