

Graveside services for Martha Ann Whisenant, 84, of Lufkin, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026 in Berry Cemetery, Moffett, Texas with Pastor Steve Cowart officiating.
Martha was born April 15, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to Lawrence William and Willie Hester (Loving) Whisenant and passed away April 9, 2026 in Lufkin with her family at her side.
After graduating from Redland High School in 1959, Martha began work with T.L. Smith Company. She joined Texas Foundries in 1969 and worked 38 years until her retirement in 2007.
Martha was a member of Redland Baptist Church for 68 years.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Lawrence Whisenant of Hudson, her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy Whisenant and Edward Asa Pillows of Apple Springs, as well as nieces and nephews, Billy Ray and Rhonda Whisenant of Independence, Oregon, Joan Pillows Dearing and Wesley Brock, James E. and Vivian Pillows, James W. and Jill Thomas, Jeffrey A. and Emily Pillows, Amy Whisenant and Kevin Fain and Leigh-Ann Thomas and James Mathis. Also great nieces and nephews, Dasha Dearing and son Cade Matchett, J.B. and Kayli Dearing and daughters Henley, Sutton, and Kennedy, Kyle Pillows, Regan Pillows, Lola Pillows, Bailee Pillows and Hannah Mathis.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Samuel William Whisenant, her sister and brother-in-law, Sue Whisenant and James Ray Thomas and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Bennett Whisenant.
