Mary Dell Baird

Mary Dell Baird was born July 25, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri and passed away January 7, 2019 in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 89. Mary was a lifelong resident of Lufkin. She worked for numerous years for S&H Green Stamps and Bows USA before her retirement. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Preston Snider and Orba Mae Bates Snider; husband, Norman Baird; beloved daughter, Wanda Sue Baird; sisters, Elnoria Lyles, Dorothy Reppond, Molly J. Herrington and Nellie Joyce; brothers, Billy Royce Snider, Jerry Lynn Snider, Charles Cecil Snider and Ray Snider. Those left to cherish her memory are sisters, Patti Harris and Doris Merrill; brother, Marion “Dock” Snider; close friend, D.L. Modisette and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Gipson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 9:30-10:30am. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 10:30am with Chaplain Dewayne Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be: C.B.
