Funeral services for Nancy Carol Cartwright, 77, Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Gipson Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Gann Cemetery.
Mrs. Cartwright was born February 24, 1949, daughter of the late Clarcie (Heaton) and Delmar Grimes. She passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in a local hospital.
Nancy was a loving wife and devoted mother. She enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, and cooking for those she loved. An excellent homemaker, Nancy was known for her warm personality and her kind, good-natured spirit.
Survivors include her husband, William Cartwright of Lufkin; daughter, Sheila Morgan and Chris of Huntington; grandson, Taylor Pride of Huntington; and brother, Johnny Grimes of Lufkin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Justin Cartwright, Matthew Cartwright, James Cartwright, Jacob Cartwright, Craig Simmons, Nathan Hendry, and Daniel Massingill.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
