

Memorial services for Rhonda Lynn Hampton, MS, CCC-SLP, 53, of Pollok, will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening, February 12, 2016 at Clawson Assembly of God with Bro. Kevin Poage and Bro. Elton Musick officiating. Inurnment services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Gann Cemetery.
Rhonda was born March 9, 1962 in Longview, Texas. She passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at M. D. Anderson Hospital.
On April 4, 1980, Rhonda married Steve Hampton. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1980. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 1999 to 2006 and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2006. She was a loving mother, wonderful wife, and treasured daughter. She enjoyed camping, gardening, the beach, fishing, horseback riding and collecting rocks. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her dog Benji. She was a courageous lady and fought a long, hard battle. She never complained and trusted God to take care of her. She was a member of Clawson Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Hampton of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie and Adren Anglin of Zavalla; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Regina Hampton of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Lacey Lynn and Colby Crawford of Huntington; mother, Mary Beth Gingery and Larry (father) of North Ridgeville, Ohio; grandchildren, Cailie Engle, Kalli Anglin, Megan Woodard, Kirsten Woodard and Clara Beth Crawford; sister, Renee Fox; sister and brother-in-law, Wendalyn “Wendy” and Keith Weitzel; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Robert Allen; and brother, John Glen Gingery.
