Romelio was born on November 2, 1949, to Sofia (Rivas) and Rumaldo Esparza. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and deep love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Isidra Esparza; his sons, Romelio Esparza, Jr., Ruben Esparza, and Julio C. Esparza; his parents, Sofia and Rumaldo Esparza; and his son-in-law, Rolando Vargas.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Laura Vargas; Linda Vargas and husband Sergio Vargas; Lucy Perez and husband Raul Perez, Jr.; and Elizabeth Ramirez and husband Mario Ramirez. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever carry his love and legacy in their hearts.
Romelio was a hardworking, do-it-all kind of man who could fix or build just about anything — from carpentry to welding. He found great joy tending to his garden, caring for his roosters, and spending time with his loyal best friend, his dog Pinto. He enjoyed trips to the casino, cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, and most of all, being surrounded by his family.
