Sandra Lynn Edwards

Funeral services for Sandra Edwards, 74, of Pollok, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with Bro. Cary Modisette officiating. Interment will follow at Gann Cemetery.

Sandra was born on February 12, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas, daughter to the late Stella Mae Modisette and Cecil (Bully) Edwards. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Edwards was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and she loved her church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Stacy Martin of Pollok, Texas, Randy and Robyn Martin of Pollok, Texas, Michael and Crickett Martin of Pollok, Texas; brother, Tim and wife, Kathy Edwards, of Bedias, Texas; grandchildren, Cassandra, James, Christopher, Darlin, Josh, Sara, Stephen, and Deven; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and stepchildren, Don Edwards of Lufkin, Texas, and Gail Price of Lufkin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Gene Martin and David Edwards; brother, Lucky; sisters, Dorothy, Frances, Sylvia, and Sharon.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Oakley-Metcalf funeral home.
