Wanda Joyce Joyce Foster

Services for Joyce Foster, 68, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor D. R. McNaughton officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Joyce was born July 8, 1944 in Kilgore, Texas. She passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 in a local hospital.

Joyce was the original "social networker." She was very family oriented and was a #1 Granny. She enjoyed fishing, badminton, camping and working with crafts. She also enjoyed taking Casino trips and playing the slots. Joyce worked for 22 years as a desk clerk and manager of the Sun-N-Pines Motel and then as a sales associate at Bealls Department Store. She was a member of Harborlight Church.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Charles Foster; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Hayden and Diane Renfro; Malcolm and Darla Guerra, Sam and Lisa Foster and Christopher Randall and Rebecca Renfro; daughter and son-in-law, Kacie and Russell Arbuckle; daughter, Belinda "Sissy" Sparkman; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; mother, Mildred Wilkerson; brothers, Jerry Clark Lambert and Joe Edd Lambert; special friend, Billy Tapp; and a number of other family members and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, William Hayden Lambert; and daughter, Lahoma Guerra.

Pallbearers will be Stacey Barnes, Tracey Pifher, Vicky Alaniz, Sylvia Badeaux, Shelly Smith, Phylis Moncrief, Sharon Conway and Shelby Caldwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pearl J. Massingill and the Maintenance Department of Vertis Communications.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
