Wanda Louise Goins

Services for Wanda Louise Goins, 87, of Lufkin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23,2023 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Nathan Parnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Ryan’s Chapel Cemetery in Diboll, Texas.

Wanda was born October 1, 1935 in San Augustine, Texas, the daughter of Minnie Magdalene (Harmon) and William Daniel (W.D.) Mitchell. She passed away at her residence on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Wanda enjoyed shopping and loved to garden. She especially loved her fur baby, and her family. Her family and friends will miss her.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa Mason of Lufkin, and Darlene Marshall and husband Travis of Crane; grandsons, Marcus Morgan, Joshua Goins, Nicholas Westmoreland and Travis Goins; granddaughter, Kirstie Goins; sisters, Sylvia Ann Hawkins and Sybil Brent. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter Joshua Goins; son, David Wayne Goins; brother, M.D. Mitchell and sister, Loyce Williams.

Pallbearers will be Travis Goins, Travis Marshall, Wendel Phillips, Joshua Goins, Marcus Morgan and Roland Brent.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randal Phillips and Rory Hassell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, September 22, 2023 at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Harbor Hospice- Kim Sessions and Barbara Hassell for their loving care.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
