

Alma (Saulnier) Barrett, of Lynn, passed away on Friday March 25th at the age of 87. Alma was born on May 15th 1934. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Barrett, the devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Leblanc) Saulnier, the cherished mother of Cheryl London and her husband Paul of Hull, James Barrett and his wife Gina of Gloucester, Judi Corbishley and her husband Chris of Lynn, Ned Barrett and his wife Marysue of Lynn and Kelly Tracy of Haverhill. She was also the dear sister of the late Laurie Saulnier, Claire Richard, Norman Saulnier, Ralph “Babe” Saulnier and Rose Olsson, the adored grandmother of Brian, Adam, Vanessa, Megan, Rose, Hannah, Jordan, Abby and Noah, and the loving great-grandmother of Emmett. Alma is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Alma grew up in Lynn and attended St. Jean's School and belonged to St. Jean's Parish, where she was involved in numerous activities. Alma worked for Catholic Charities where she was a daycare provider for over 25 years before retiring. Alma will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral for Alma will be held on Thursday March 31st at 9am at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St. Lynn, at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday night from 3pm – 7pm. Interment will be held at St. Jean's Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers Alma wishes for people to make an act of kindness in her memory.
