

Annie (Connolly) Sullivan entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2025, at the Ledgewood Nursing Center in Beverly after a brief battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond “Ray” Sullivan. Annie was born in Ballyconneely, County Galway, Ireland in 1931 to Peter and Mary (Burke) Conneely. She immigrated to the United States in the mid-1950s. Annie had an extraordinary gift for connecting with people and creating lasting relationships.
Annie was a retired Massachusetts State employee working at North Shore Community College. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to Ireland and Cape Cod. She loved spending time with her family and friends any chance she got. She was a communicant of St Mary’s Church in Lynn for over 65 years. She loved church and she enjoyed volunteering for many civic organizations over the years, such as Girl Scouts, school functions, along with many other events. Annie will be greatly missed by everyone.
Annie leaves her children Peter Sullivan, and Maureen Benea and her husband Robert of Lynn, and her late son Mark who passed away too soon (1986). She was the beloved grandmother of James, Christopher, Samantha and Cameron.
In addition to her children, she leaves her brothers Mark and his wife Norma of Quincy, Andrew of South Weymouth, Edward, and Joseph and his wife Angela of Galway, Ireland.
She was predeceased by her brothers Peter, Michael, Martin, John and Matthew and sisters Bridget King and Mary (Maureen) Sharkey. She also has many many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 5 PM-8 PM in the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. The funeral will take place Friday, February 21, 2025. There will be a 10:30 Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn, followed by her burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Parish, 8 South Common St., Lynn MA 01902 in Annie’s memory.
