

Anthony “Skip” J. DeLuca, age 84 of Lynn, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen (Wentzell) DeLuca, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn to the late Vincent and Joanna (O’Keefe) DeLuca. Skip was a graduate of Lynn English High School, and later proudly served his community as a Lynn Firefighter and as a mason. He had a love for all Boston sports and played at the Manning Bowl while on the Black Knights semi pro football team. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed restoring his Harley, and was an incredibly talented charcoal artist.
In addition to being the loving husband of Mae DeLuca, he is the devoted father of Joanna Blyler and her husband Jeremy Ryerson, and the late Paul DeLuca; the cherished grandfather of Abigail Blyler, Lilli Blyler and Sydney Blyler; and the brother of Robert Deluca and his wife Angie and Judith DesFosses and her husband Thomas.
Skip’s visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
