Bob was very much a part of our family. He was like another brother to me in my childhood as he was a dear friend of my brothers and good neighbor. He also worked for our family business and was loved by many as a caring and passionate person. His love for animals was sincere and his kindness to them was amazing. I have many fond memories of fun times shared with Bob and my family.

Bob and I shared 66 years of friendship. He had a kind and caring spirit. Among my most vivid memories is Bob's faithful assistance to elderly people needing transportation for groceries, doctor's visits, or just a personal visit. When his adoptive mother Irene Meehan was in her last years in a nursing home, he never missed an evening to visit with her. Similarly, he cared for his adoptive father, Walter Meehan, in his last years at home. He and Walter invited a young Brenda French to live with them in her time of need. Following the untimely death of Brenda's husband, Billy Wormstead, Bob had her return to live with him; caring for her until his death this week. Bob loved animals and routinely rescued pets in need of a caring home. While not a church-goer, he frequently shared his belief in God and appreciation for his Catholic roots and traditions. Bob modeled a life of caring and the meaning of friendship. A blessing to my life who will be missed - rest in peace dear friend.
