Barbara Gloria Hudson Mitchell

Barbara G. (Hudson) Mitchell, age 90, formerly of Lynn, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in the Jesmond Nursing Home in Nahant. Born in Lynn on November 22, 1926, Barbara was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (White) Hudson, and graduated from Lynn English High School.

Barbara was a cake decorator and seamstress and enjoyed beano. Her passion was taking care of her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Mitchell. Barbara was the mother of Mary Jane Boivin and her husband William of Burlington, Charles Mitchell and his wife Catherine of Palmetto, FL, Scott Mitchell and his wife Joanne of NH, Donald Mitchell of Lynn, and of the late George Mitchell and Dana Mitchell. She also leaves a sister Constance McCarthy of Kentucky, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Audrey Kinney, Donald Hudson, Charles Hudson, Priscilla Cobb, Richard Hudson, Kenneth Hudson and Donna Langevain.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20th at 10 am in the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
