Bernice ""Bunny"" V Pearson

Mrs. Bernice "Bunny" Virginia Pearson, age 84 years, of Swampscott, died peacefully at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home in Salem on Thursday Dec. 17, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Roy E. Pearson with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Einar and Esther (Strom) Hanson. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1945. She was an active member of the Church of the Redeemer in Swampscott and an avid bowler in the church bowling league. Bunny and Roy enjoyed their retirement and traveled together, visiting England, Sweden and nearly every state in the United States. She was particularly proud of her Swedish heritage and stayed in touch with her relatives in Sweden. Central to her life were her husband, children, and grandchildren. She celebrated her 84th birthday surrounded by her whole family a few days before she died. In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Karin and her husband Dennis Jackson of Middleton, Karla and her husband Frank Cashman of Meredith, NH, four grandchildren Kristin and Laurie Jackson, Meredith and Mark Cashman, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert and John "Gil" Hanson. Service Details: A visitation hour will be held at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
