

He was the beloved husband of 53 years to “his bride” Mary A. Tibbetts. Ted was the proud father to his daughter Patricia K. Tibbetts and her husband David J. Greene of Rabat, Morocco, his daughter Mary Tibbetts Wu and his son in law David C. Wu both of Arlington, Mass., and his son Michael S. Tibbetts and his wife Natalie Courant of Lexington, Mass. He was the cherished and devoted grandfather of Lanh Tran and Lola Greene, Henry and Simon Wu, and Benjamin and Thomas Tibbetts. Ted was the loving brother of Susan Tibbetts Seavey of Bar Harbor, Maine and the uncle of Frank Seavey of Passadumkeag, Maine and Wayne Seavey of Tremont, Maine. Ted was the dear son of the late Mary R. (Donohue) Tibbetts and Edward S. Tibbetts.
Ted grew up in Lynn, Mass., graduated from Lynn English High School, and raised his family in Lynn. He was a customer engineer for 30 years with IBM. He was a dedicated member of the Lynn Yacht Club and past member of the Board of Governors at LYC. He was an Airman First Class in the US Air Force from October 1962 to October 1966 in Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV. Ted loved boat building, carpentry, and model trains; but his favorite activity by far was cruising on the Irish Miss with his bride. He cherished his time spent with family and friends

Ted’s Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 meeting at 9:30 AM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, for a 10:00 AM burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
