Ellen M. Speropolous

Ellen was born in Lynn, daughter of the late James and Marie (LeBlanc) Fogarty. She was a resident of Lynn for most of her life before moving to Peabody. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School Class of 1959.

Ellen worked part time at Eastern Bank for several years.

Ellen’s true devotion was the time she spent with her family. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, scratch tickets, frequent trips to Foxwoods and watching the Patriots.

She was the loving mother to Nina Wright and her husband Wayne of York, ME, Christina Stanko and her husband Steven of Peabody and George T. Speropolous and his wife Maureen Hayes of Ipswich. Sister to Delores Woods of No. Berwick, ME and Phyllis Peterson of Danvers. She was the cherished grandmother to Kayla, Chloe and Steven Stankos, Emily, Melissa, Natalie and Audrey Mitchell, Tia and Thomas Speropolous. She was the former wife to Thomas Speropolous of Chelsea. Ellen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Joan Landry.

Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn, Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
