

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico and grew up in Lynn. He was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and Rhode Island College where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services. He began his career as a social worker in Rhode Island and later retired while working in Brockton.
In addition to his mother, Fernando is survived by his brother Miguel Reyes and his wife Jennifer, his nieces Amanda Reyes and her husband Brian Crounse of Gloucester, Stephanie Herzig and her husband Ian of Malden, and Monica Gagliardi and her husband Joseph and their children Lily, Pia and Anthony of Cheshire, CT. He is also survived by his beloved dog Max.
Fernando’s visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 in St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
